The MENTOR series of high-quality standard light guides offers a wide range of solutions. It includes front panel mounting solutions, as well as vertical or horizontal circuit board mounting versions, single and multiple light guides, bar graph displays, different head shapes, various sizes including miniature versions and flexible light guide systems.
Despite this wide range of standard products, there are still situations where a custom solution for a light guide represents the best solution. This is the case, for example, if a very individual radiation effect is required or if a particularly large amount of time and effort is required to adapt a circuit board or device front to a standard light guide.
We know from many years of experience that individual length adjustments are often necessary to adapt standard light guides to individual requirements. Intelligent tooling strategies enable us to implement these solutions for our customers with no or minimal tooling costs and low minimum order quantities.
We have designated light guides that can realize customized lengths within the specified length variation (dimension A) without or with minimal tooling costs, symbol C+. The advantage here is the exceptional cost-effectiveness of these solutions. We designate solutions where this possibility does not exist but with a variety of tool-related special versions, symbol C.
