Product Description

For level measurement in corrosive media and under overpressure

The ultrasonic transducer of the new HPS+ sensors now features a PTFE membrane as standard. It is sealed to the housing made of 1.4571 stainless steel or PVDF with an FFKM O-ring. This ensures a high degree of resistance to aggressive media.

The hps+ sensor can be used for level measurement at normal pressure as well as in tanks and vessels with an overpressure of up to 6 bar. Its special software filter also allows it to be used in vessels that are filled from above or have a stirring system.

In the case of hps+340, pressure-tight installation in the tank is carried out via a 1" threaded flange or a 2" threaded flange.

Chemical resistance

The seal is tested by storage in cellulose thinner and 1,000,000 pressure cycles. Cellulose thinner is extremely corrosive and has a high permeability.

HPS+ sensors with switching output have three operating modes:

• Single switch point
• Bidirectional reflective barrier
• Windowed Mode

The current status of the switching output or analog output is always displayed.

With touch control

All configuration can be done on the sensor. The easy-to-read three-digit LED display continuously shows the current distance value and automatically switches between millimeters and centimeters.

Setting switch or analog output

This can be done either by numerically entering the desired distance value or using a teach-in procedure. This allows the user to select the preferred configuration method. The hps+ sensors support simultaneous and multiplexed operation and offer extensive parameter setting options via LinkControl.
